Kampar Waterfall

I don't know what I could really share out in this post.
It's a dilemma. I've been having dilemma.
But somehow I've made my decision.

31st of October.
Due to my inner desires to explore and try out extraordinary things,
I decided to bring Elaine to picnic.

Sure, picnic, we had that during the holidays.

But I'm bringing her to Batu Berangkai waterfall for a picnic
Jealous ah?

Lucky enough, she's willing to tolerate with my interest.
Such as fishing.

I took her prawn as bait.
We suppose to breed ghost prawns as well.

Caught any fish? Nay..

A small picnic, we bought some butter cake from the local famous butter cake shop.
and some snacks and drinks.

Ever seen a poodle that swims?

Surprise? It's a toy poodle! And I love dogs that can swim.
Next time I should keep one of those small dogs, and teach them not to get drown.
My current dogs even scared of water, they often run and hide even when I refill their bowl.
Talk about giving them bathes.

Champion la this poodle.

The waters from the waterfall. Clear and cold.
But cold river flow with a cold heart.

This place, Batu Berangkai waterfalls.. have took many lives.
Some locals, and a few of those lives,
One of them is my friend.

Three Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman undergraduates drowned after they were swept away by strong current at the Batu Berangkai waterfalls yesterday(1st of November 2009)

The dead have been identified as James Khor Wan Kai, 20; Yew Shy Gin, 19 and Yew Ghim Chnieh, 20.

A fourth student was rescued by a villager.

The three had gone to the waterfalls for a swim, the fourth was late. But when he was about to step into the water catching up with his mates, a sudden gush of water caused him to tumble in.

A Kampar villager, who saw this, rushed over and pulled out the fourth student.

The survivor, 22 years old, do not wish to named.

He'd suffered cuts and bruises.

James Khor, however.. had an impact on the head.
And passed away.

Today, the whole lecture hall speaks of his name.
Some were sobbing. Some had an impact of the incident.

As for me, James Khor was a friend, no more no less.
He hasn't gave me any significances in my life.
But even for that, his death caused a blow.
For such a simple friend could do that kind of damage.

How would it be, if it's someone closer?

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

If you think city people brought me up to Penang is boring..

EVEN fishing and lata kinjang couldn't impress you...

Then I'll tell you what I do, I went exploring!!!!!!!!!!! Fuuuh, took us 20mins to climb up the hill, I nearly fainted.. REALLY... the hill was...

nuts.. the whole journey I was like.. this better worth all the pain in my arse!!! Therefore...

We park our bikes, and look out for a suitable area..everywhere was slippery and slimy.. and rocky and ... chikeny.. whatever that means..after all that, we found someplace suitable.. finally...
I gotta tell you, it's much more impressive than Lata Kinjang, and it's deep... waaaaay deeeeep..

During the weekdays it's so quiet, you can even study there~ and fish at the same time... THE fish here... is damn huge!!!

Group picture... Ah looong,Jordan, Mj and Rebeca... Jordan's camera is like making advertisement on the rock... I don't know how to put it into words.. figure out yourself!!!

It's getting dark, and Mj told us there's this deep shit place where it's so deep that I couldn't even stand with my feet... and of course it was true!!!

I'm 6 feet, the depth should be around 10 feet... and plenty of fish!!! And it's dark.. so it's scary and I'm liking it!!!!!!!! How often You seen a pool that I can't stand!!??

Notice it was dark? It's 3pm and it's gonna rain, but I still can't leave without swiiings and deep pool swimming!!

So there I go again!!!! Jordan~ swing once only hahahaha!!!!

we rushed back.. the rain was pouring and hit us hard... everything flew away even my Uni Id flew to Jordan's face...

We decided to bath under the rain... typical us right?! Rebeca even brought us shampoo...

So that's all for the waterfall, I heard there's another better waterfall!! couldn't wait to look for it... even if it's need to go up multiple hills or faint/ to die for!!!!

The city boys life in Kampar 2

Now you say fishing is god damn boring.....

We don't just do fishing, we look for extreme places as well...

Now in our mind we thought of some place high..... Cameron

Some cold and filled with greens ....Cameron

Some place with lots and lots of water..... Sungkai So we divided into 2 cars, had our breakfast... and off we go..

to somewhere cold, wet, high and quite dangerous...

Lata Kinjang!!!! Is cold!! is high!!! Is filled with greens.. see?

We planned to reach the peak and jump slide down to the very bottom!!!

Now that is extreme!!!

The crew, mostly from Johor, at the middle of the waterfall... and ready to travel some more to the top!! If you think their posers... they are, even Jordan became one ever since he socialize with them.. you'll see later..

Guess what we saw?!??! Rajah Brooke's Birdwing butterfly!!! One of my very favorite.. never actually seen it before!! Is actually damn big!! They're flying around so suddenly and I thought we could only find these butterflies in the Easter Malaysia..

Named after James Brooke, some fellow that used to rule Sarawak or something.. eh forgotten.

Sucking minerals and nectar...

And they're not afraid of you..

We couldn't reach the peak, because it's restricted... oh well at least we reach almost to the top... and there's quite a number of people plus the current is so strong that a single mistake will bring someone down... Jordan for example..
Adrian Jordan and me.... at the restricted bridge... They say there's an off track to the top of the waterfall, so we decided just to trek all the way up for fun...

and me.. being me.... first person went in to the cold water... the rest follows after 5 minutes or so... and I disappeared behind the waterfalls. So most of the time they couldn't look for me..

They thought I went all the way down or something...

Now this is damn dangerous, especially for the guys.. I hope you know why...

and there's some Malay guy.. that I don't know whether to state him dumb, or brave.. or both...

He sat at the most rocky area, and stay there until the current pushes him down... banging into a few rocks... and end up with minor bruises...

He did it more than 5 times...

Now Jordan... being Jordan.... Told you he started cam whoring... there are number of picture of him... lazy to post it up, waste of space.. don't tell me you want to see Jordan cam whore post...

I know you had sex appeal by looking at his body.. =D

The group.. getting wet. All of them are from Johor except me and Jordan. The rest didn't follow us down to the water...

Now me... being me again... chasing chicken to warm my body...

Do you know? That most runner agility are gain by just chasing chickens... that's why you see most champions are from Kampung...

Who could resist a burger after the waterfall.. IS CHEAP!! DOUBLE BEEF WITH ONLY 3 DOLLARS!!! CAN YOU FEEL MY MOOD NOW???
