Noises Off : The Show Must Go On, sorry... no credits. I lost the booklet. Anyway, it worth it so I guess I shouldn't be whiny about it right? In fact, I don't know the cast except some like Lim Fei Xiang.. But they can put the feel in you.
Originally from the same farce made in 1982 with the same title. I must say, they really done a good job. The tense, the heat, the pressure of the show really gets to you.
It follows the concept like play within a play in which the action follows a troupe of present-day actors as it performs sex farce called "Nothing On".. where the type of play in which young girls run about in their underwear, men drop their trousers, and many doors continually open and shut
The first act was about the rehearsal before opening night. From there you can see the screw up lines, the personality of the characters revealed, romance between them and setting scenes of the madness to come.
2nd act is set backstage in Ipoh. Romance had been a mess and relationship had strained the characters as the actors fight among each other while performing their scenes, while some even miss their entrance. I'll say, this act was most hilarious. You can see the mess and funny fights with hammer, liquor, roses, and even cactus.
Act 3 we'll see the play at Johor, everyone bored and anxious to be done with the play and finish the act. With all those rushes, many mistakes occurs during the play and the actors attempt to cover up a series of mishaps but only compound the problems and draw attention to the troubled performance.
There we go, won't go detail with the characters, it'll be a long long post then. Leaving that to someone else.
