While others are writing about their Rave experience and so called 2 days of freedom, with massive alcohol and some druggies.. not to mention big names such as Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Cosmic Gates and many more.
I'm writing about Port Dickson AFTER the wild Rave party.
I didn't join the party myself, but some of my friends did. They are charged RM113 to enter the event that was held at a resort along Jalan Pantai and many foreigners were present at the event too. Many of them are college students, and alot of techno music played during wee hours. Talk about the wildest party in Malaysia.
The beach was divided into two stages; 1 is for the trance and the other is for the R&B. The resident of Port Dickson are unhappy that the seaside town is being used by certain quarters to promote "unhealthy activities" among the youth.
There're more than 10 thousand people, and alot of them were still loitering in the area until 5am. There were many complaints from the people. The assemblyman were told that the 2DAYS OF FREEDOM was supposed to be a " fusion of music, visual arts, cuisine and beach activities". There were some youth lying on the ground clearly intoxicated.
30 youth detained for substance abuse at the rave events, thousand of teenagers, many were drunk and wearing skimpy clothing were misbehaving.

I guess, from the Assemblyman's point of view, Malaysians are not ready for this. Because of culture is too strict for the likes of teenagers partying at 4am with revealing clothes? Or the abusive substance that they were caught with?
*off~
4 bla bla blas:
Idiotic is one way to describe the statement made by the assemblyman and all other parties that were too "cultured" to presume that alcoholic would be sold at the event, drugs would be used by minors and girls would be wearing skimpy outfits. like HELLO. Can you please wake up!? This is so hilarious because, okay maybe i'm speaking out of context because PD is primarily a FISHING VILLAGE. yeah right. Have none of these people visited a nightclub before? gone binge drinking or even consumed illicit drugs? To say no to any of the 3 would in fact herald a new age of deniability. A stroll to any of our famous clubs would entail the same exact thing. Things mind you, have been going on way before our 50 years of independence. Nigga please. that's all there is to say. Vanity affairs should be left at home, least you too wish for your own life to come under the quick sting of a microscope.
We've got too many g-string girls walking around, too many gangsters and their profession's counterpart spreading drugs, too many non-alcoholic places to raise the bar on taboo. just wake up.
F**K YOU ASSEMBLYMAN!!!!! WAKE THE F**K UP!! GROW THE F**K UP!!! ITS A F**KING RAVE!! NOT A TEA PARTY!! OLD MOTHERF**KERS!!
I actually agree with your comments.. seriously, asemblyman nvr had the experience.
I went to the event myself and i thought it was just phenomenal. The music the lightings and the crowd was superb. I thought the organiser did a great job. There were securities, medic, toilets, food and drinks... very well organised.
The event was about freedom. The freedom to chose and live with the consequences. if people chose to drink, and get wasted, its their choice, let it be. Who can say it is right or wrong?
